Donald Trump Returns to Campaign Trail After Surviving Assassination Attempt
Jul 21 (Jowhar.com) – The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, returned to the election campaign on Saturday, one week after he survived an assassination attempt while giving a speech to his supporters in Pennsylvania.
The candidate of the Republican party in the presidential election in November, has resumed the election campaign in the state of Michigan, one of the important states for the elections of the United States. When Trump campaigned with the man he chose to be his vice president, DJ Vanve.
“It was one week ago, even the hour and even the minute. By the grace of ALLAH, I am standing before you. They were not here,” said Trump to the people gathered in the square where he spoke.
The shooting on the 13th of last month by a gunman who tried to assassinate the former president of the United States, was widely condemned in the United States.
One person died and three others, including Donald Trump, were injured. Special forces killed the attacker.
In the 2016 presidential election in Michigan, Trump won by more than 10,000 votes over Hillary Clinton, but in the last election in 2020, President Biden won by 154,000 votes.
Despite the election results, Trump continued to claim that the election was rigged and that he was the rightful winner. His relentless efforts to challenge the results led to widespread protests and civil unrest across the country.
But now, as he stood before the crowd in the square, Trump spoke of unity and healing. He thanked the brave men and women who had risked their lives to protect him during the assassination attempt and vowed to work towards a brighter future for all Americans.
As the sun began to set and the crowd slowly dispersed, Trump reflected on the events of the past week. He knew that he had been given a second chance, a chance to make a difference and to bring about positive change in the world.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Trump left the square that evening, determined to leave a lasting legacy of peace, unity, and prosperity for all.
