Hezbollah said that Fuad Shukr was killed in an airstrike in Beirut

July 31 (Jowhar.com) – The Hezbollah group in Lebanon confirmed in a statement that an official of the group, Fu’ad Shukr, was killed in an attack by Israel south of Beirut.

The Israeli military said that they carried out an attack in Beirut that killed Shukr, but Hizbollah previously said that Shukr survived.

Lebanon’s health ministry said three people, including two children, were killed and 74 wounded in what the Israeli military described as an assassination attempt on Shukr, also known as Mohsen Shukr and al-Hajj. Mohsen.

The attack, which took place in a crowded area on the outskirts of Beirut, was carried out in the Haret Hreik neighborhood near the headquarters of Hezbollah’s Shura Council, its central decision-making body.

He is believed to have been a senior adviser to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, according to the US.

Israel accused Shukr of being responsible for a rocket attack on Majdal Shams in the Israeli-held Golan Heights on Saturday.

The attack, which Hezbollah denied responsibility for, caused the death of 12 people, mostly children.
