Cameroon add energy to the tournament and beat Ethiopia 4-1

Cameroon ignited a previously low-key Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday when they beat Ethiopia 4-1 with braces from Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko-Ekambi – which reminds everyone why they are among the favorites to win the trophy.

There were tears among Ethiopia’s supporters at the end of the match, after taking the lead with a brilliantly executed goal in the 4th minute, stunning hosts, only to see everything go against them.

Cameroon roared back with two magnificent goals each from Aboubakar and Toko-Ekambi – making the tournament hosts win for the first time with more than just one goal in a hitherto weak Africa Cup of Nations. This resounding victory also places Cameroon in the knockout rounds with a match to spare.
