France clears Sudan’s $ 5 billion debt

At a summit for Sudan, France says it will cancel its $ 5 billion debt to Khartoum in an effort to support the African nation’s transition to democracy after the fall of old strongman Omar al-Bashir in 2019. Also says Jacob Zuma that he is ready for his corruption trial, although it was quickly postponed after it opened on Monday. The former South African president is accused of corruption and money laundering.
