Heavy fighting erupts in Hodan district of Mogadishu

Heavy fighting has recently erupted near the KM4 junction to the Taleh area, with the use of various weapons.

The fighting is said to be between government forces and the opposition.

Candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur has recently taken refuge in the area where the fighting started.

Candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur posted a statement on his Facebook page saying that his residence had been attacked by forces under Farmajo’s command.

“Farmajo’s forces attacked my residence in Mogadishu. We have warned in the past that the army could be used for political purposes.

I think the legislators and politicians came to me fast and consultation. Any consequences of the attack will be borne by Mohamed Farmajo, ”the statement said.
