Inside the German lab, pigs are cloned for human heart transplants

At a former state farm in southern Germany, researchers are raising pigs that they hope can help save thousands of lives around the world.

The animals are part of a program that aims to genetically modify, clone and then breed pigs, so that their hearts can be transplanted to human patients as a solution to the chronic shortage of organ donors.
