July 18 (Jowhar.com)- The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, chaired an extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council on July 18, 2024. The meeting discussed illegal weapons imported from Galmudug.

Decisions made at the meeting include:

– Strengthening the inspection of weapons and ammunition.

– Prohibition of the sale and trade of firearms.

– Submission of detailed information on illegal weapons.

– The people involved in this illegal activity should be immediately brought to court.

The President stressed the importance of implementing the laws on the control of weapons and ammunition. The meeting was attended by senior government officials.
