Apr 12 (Jowhar) – President Hassan Sheikh, speaking at the Antlya Forum, said that Prime Minister Hamze went to Lascaanod to create an atmosphere to discuss what he called the “crisis” that occurred in Lascaanod, meaning the war in which the Somali National Army was expelled.
MW Hassan Sheikh said that the Somali National Army is sorry for the war, that it is not a part of it, will not withdraw, and is working on a solution.
“We regret what happened there, and the Federal Government of Somalia was not part of that conflict, and does not want to be part of that internal conflict.
The main reason the Prime Minister went there is to resolve that conflict, the Prime Minister is not there to create new conflicts, as some people wrote on social media, and that conflict has not been resolved yet.
There are prisoners held by both sides, there is a possibility that the conflict has not been resolved yet. The Prime Minister is there to remove some obstacles that stand in the way of a solution, to create an environment where both sides can talk and come together peacefully,” the president said.
The president believes that making this announcement at the Antalya forum is a political message and not a simple matter and a debate on the forum.
