The agenda of today’s meeting was the second reading of the Somali Investment Bill prepared by the Trade and Industry Committee of the People’s Assembly.
Members of the People’s Assembly who held a heated discussion and spent hours on this bill discussed the provisions of this bill, its importance for the country and also if it has a budget. The Chairman of the Trade and Industry Committee of the House of Representatives, Mohamed Sheikh Nur Osman, said that the bill has already passed the first reading and is going through its second reading.
The second deputy chairman of the People’s Assembly, Mr. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, who closed the meeting, said that the members of the parliament debated a lot about the provisions of this bill.
Also, the second deputy speaker of the House of People’s Assembly said that the chairman of the assembly will soon appoint a committee that will work on the debate of the member of the assembly of the people at the previous meeting on the establishment of independent institutions without a budget, so that they can return their report to the assembly. and make a resolution about it in the council.
