12-Year-Old Girl Appears in Court for Elderly Man’s Death in UK Park

A 12-year-old girl has appeared in court in England facing charges of manslaughter in connection with the death of a pensioner who passed away following an alleged attack while walking his dog in a nearby park.

Bhim Kohli, aged 80, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on 2 September, just one day after being severely wounded in Franklin Park located in Braunstone Town, near Leicester.

The girl appeared at Leicester Youth Court and was directed to attend the city’s crown court on 3 February.

The defendant, who cannot be publicly identified due to her age, was granted bail following a brief hearing.

An inquest that started and was adjourned last month indicated that a preliminary cause of death had been identified as a neck injury, awaiting further examination.

Mr. Kohli passed away at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham on the evening of 2 September.

His family released a statement saying: “Bhim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a son, brother, and uncle.

“He cherished his grandchildren deeply and loved spending quality time with them.

“He truly was a kind, caring individual whose life revolved around his family.”
