Caroline Kennedy Calls Cousin RFK Jr. a ‘Predator,’ Questions His Qualifications for Health Secretary Position

Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former US President John F. Kennedy, has penned a sharp letter regarding her cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to US senators, just ahead of his senate confirmation hearing tomorrow.

She described him as wholly unqualified for the position of Secretary of Health, labeling him a “predator” and emphasizing that his anti-vaccine stance has resulted in numerous fatalities.

RFK Jr. initially ran for president but later withdrew to endorse Donald Trump, who has now put him forward for the role of Secretary of Health and Human Services. Mr. Kennedy is scheduled to appear before a senate committee tomorrow, which is responsible for approving his nomination.

Caroline’s son, Jack Schlossberg, shared a video of his mother as she read the letter to the senators.

She added: “These facts alone should be disqualifying; however, his personal attributes related to this role raise even greater concerns for me.”

Donald Trump has nominated RFK Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

She further alleged that her cousin, a former heroin user, has led some of his siblings and cousins towards addiction, resulting in sickness and death.

Mr. Kennedy’s younger brother, David, tragically passed away in Palm Beach County in May 1984 due to the “multiple ingestion” of three drugs, as stated by authorities at that time.

Ms. Kennedy highlighted that his anti-vaccine rhetoric has claimed many lives and was responsible for a severe measles outbreak in American Samoa in 2019.

“It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator,” she remarked about her cousin, providing details on how he once took pleasure in blending mice and chickens to feed his hawks.

Additionally, she pointed out Mr. Kennedy’s choice to maintain a financial interest in a lawsuit against Merck’s HPV vaccine, which is designed to prevent cervical cancer, suggesting he intends to “enrich himself”.

In her capacity as former US President Joe Biden’s ambassador to Australia, Ms. Kennedy actively promoted the HPV vaccine.

She concluded her letter by urging US Senators to deny his appointment on behalf of America’s most vulnerable populations, stating, “They deserve better than Bobby Kennedy, and so do the rest of us.”

If confirmed, Mr. Kennedy would manage an approximately $1.7 trillion (€1.6 trillion) mandatory budget and a $130.7 billion (€125.2 billion) discretionary budget as the leader of HHS, with over half of the funding allocated to significant entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
