China Condemns US VP Vance for ‘Ignorant and Impolite’ Remarks on ‘Peasants’

China has criticized US Vice President JD Vance as “ignorant and impolite” after he mentioned that the US borrows money from “Chinese peasants.”

“China’s stance on China-US economic and trade relations has been explicitly stated,” said foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian.

“It is both surprising and disheartening to hear such ignorant and impolite remarks from this vice president,” he continued.

US President Donald Trump has disrupted the global economy with extensive tariffs that have raised concerns about a potential international recession, yet he has dismissed any possibility of halting his aggressive trade strategy despite a significant market downturn.

“We borrow money from Chinese peasants to purchase the products those Chinese peasants produce,” the Vice President remarked.

“This is not a strategy for economic prosperity. It does not contribute to low prices, nor does it create quality jobs in the United States of America,” he added.

Mr. Trump is convinced that the tariffs will restore the US’s diminished manufacturing sector by compelling foreign companies to shift their operations to the United States instead of producing goods abroad.

However, the majority of economists are skeptical about this, arguing that his tariffs are arbitrary.
