Danish MEP Curses Trump, Asserts Greenland Is Not for Sale

Danish politician Anders Vistisen received a reprimand for using vulgar language while discussing the new US administration at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Mr. Vistisen, who is affiliated with the right-wing Patriots for Europe group, referenced President Donald Trump’s remarks about controlling Greenland to ensure international security.

Since his re-election in November, Mr. Trump has shown interest in acquiring Greenland, which is an autonomous territory of Denmark and considering it as part of the US.

He has not dismissed the possibility of using military or economic pressure to convince Denmark to relinquish it.

Another Member of the European Parliament had a message for tech leaders like Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who have been trying to gain favor with the new administration and held prominent positions during Mr. Trump’s inauguration.

“In Europe, we have a market of millions of users that financially support your companies… But we also prioritize protecting our citizens and democracies by enacting laws,” stated socialist Laura Ballarin Cereza.

“If you don’t agree, you’re free to leave. You can take your Nazi salutes and your masculine energy and go back home.”

Mr. Musk’s hand gesture during the celebration of Mr. Trump’s inauguration sparked comparisons online to a Nazi salute.

Mr. Musk brushed off the criticism as a “tired” attack.
