AFP journalists present in Pokrovsk witnessed rescue workers active around the heavily damaged five-story building, evacuating the injured amidst rubble and helping residents trapped in their homes using a large ladder.

This strike has “killed five civilians and injured fourteen”, said Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the military administration in Donetsk, on Telegram. “In addition, we have information about two state emergency services employees killed and one soldier. Nine police officers, a local government employee, and one soldier were injured,” he added.
