Rescuers Report 10 Fatalities, Including 7 Children, in Israeli Airstrike on Gaza
An Israeli airstrike before dawn has resulted in the deaths of ten family members, including seven children, in the southern city of Khan Younis, according to Gaza’s civil defense agency.
“Ten individuals, comprising seven children, were taken to the hospital as martyrs following an Israeli airstrike that targeted the al-Farra family residence in central Khan Younis,” said agency spokesperson Mahmud Bassal to AFP.
In response to inquiries from AFP regarding the strike, the Israeli military stated that it is currently investigating the incident.
Witnesses reported ongoing and heavy Israeli tank fire in Khan Younis.
Earlier today, the Israeli military issued an “urgent and serious” evacuation order for residents in multiple areas east of Gaza City.
“The IDF is operating with significant force in your areas to dismantle terrorist infrastructure.
“For your safety, it is imperative that you evacuate these areas immediately and relocate to the designated shelters in western Gaza City,” stated Avichay Adraee, the military’s Arabic-speaking spokesperson, on X.
