Teenage Triple Murderer Sentenced to Minimum 49 Years in the UK

A teenager who murdered his mother, brother, and sister in the UK last year while plotting a school shooting has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 49 years.

Nicholas Prosper, 19, hailing from Luton, aspired to be a notorious mass murderer and was sentenced at Luton Crown Court.

He received a life sentence for the murders, with a minimum term of 49 years, which totals 48 years and 177 days when accounting for the time he has already spent in custody.

Ms. Justice Cheema-Grubb stated, “You intended to cause devastation in the Luton community. Your plans were intelligent, calculated, and selfish.”

“The lives of your own mother, younger brother, and sister were deemed collateral damage in your pursuit of ambition.”

He had to be compelled to appear in court after initially refusing to attend the second day of his sentencing hearing.

Nicholas Prosper was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders, with a minimum term of 49 years.

Prosper shot his mother Juliana Falcon, 48, and his siblings Giselle Prosper, 13, and Kyle Prosper, 16, in their shared flat in Luton, Bedfordshire, on September 13 of last year, stabbing his brother over 100 times.

He evaded capture for just over two hours before flagging down police officers on a nearby street to show them where he had concealed a loaded shotgun and 33 cartridges near local playing fields.

The teenager, who struggled to maintain his education or employment, had been plotting a mass shooting at his former primary school, motivated by a quest for notoriety.

A forensic psychiatrist indicated that he exhibited “an extreme lack of empathy and remorse,” characteristics consistent with psychopathic tendencies.

Prosper successfully forged a gun license and used it to purchase a shotgun and 100 cartridges from a licensed firearms dealer the day prior to the murders.
