Fresh violence across Gaza left three people dead — including a woman and a child — and sent multiple others to hospital, according to health officials in the Palestinian territory.
At Nasser hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis, officials said the body of a child arrived after Israeli tanks opened fire on tents sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area.
Mahmoud Bassal, spokesman for Gaza’s civil defence agency — a rescue force that operates under Hamas authority — said the child was 11 years old.
In central Gaza, staff at Al-Awda hospital reported that a 31-year-old woman died from her wounds after Israeli forces shot her on Salah al-Din street, east of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In the north, officials at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City said a man was killed after a drone shot him in the head in Jabalia.

Gaza’s civil defence said its teams transported nine wounded people to hospitals after Israeli fire in Khan Yunis in the south and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Asked for comment by AFP, the Israeli military said it was looking into the reports.
Israel agreed in October last year to a ceasefire brokered by the United States, but it has since pushed deeper into Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to keep up strikes aimed at Hamas, which carried out the unprecedented October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.
That assault killed 1,221 people, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures.
Israel’s sweeping military campaign in response has devastated much of Gaza and killed more than 73,900 people, according to Gaza’s health ministry, which is under Hamas authority and whose figures the United Nations considers reliable.
Since the ceasefire was announced last year, Israeli strikes have killed more than 1,300 people, the Gaza health ministry said — figures the United Nations deems generally reliable.
Over the same period, the Israeli army has reported five deaths among its forces, along with the death of a civilian contractor.
