Thieves have made off with more than 70,000 pints worth of Guinness after stealing two HGV trailers from a depot in England, UK police said.
Cheshire Constabulary said about 800 barrels of the stout — valued at £115,000 (€134,000) — were taken from an industrial estate in Runcorn on Monday.
Officers said they are working to recover the missing trailers and kegs and have urged witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who saw a lorry entering the Aston Lane area at about 7.45pm.
Police said a lorry arrived, connected to an HGV trailer loaded with Guinness and departed the site around 7.55pm, heading towards the Mersey Gateway bridge.
A second lorry later returned to the same location at 9.12pm, hitched up another trailer also carrying barrels of Guinness, and left at 9.30pm in the direction of Rainhill and Watkinson Way, according to the force.

Investigators said the stolen barrels contained around 70,400 pints of the Irish drink and were destined for delivery to pubs.
Diageo, the company behind Guinness, operates a packaging warehouse on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Aston Lane.
Police believe both vehicles were driven by men.
The first driver is described as white with a short dark beard and wearing a beanie hat. The second driver is believed to have been wearing a cap.
Cheshire Constabulary estimated the overall value of what was taken — including both trailers and the Guinness — at about £205,000.
The trailers are described as white tri-axle curtain side trailers with branding for logistics company GXO on curtains and rear doors.
Police said the trucks carry unique ID numbers DL736 and DL542 on the top left corner of their rear doors.
The force has appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
