Fresh Israeli airstrikes across Gaza left at least seven Palestinians dead on the same day, according to the territory’s health officials, underscoring how fighting has persisted despite a ceasefire.
In Gaza City, medics said one Israeli strike hit an apartment, killing a woman and injuring her husband along with several other people.
Elsewhere in the city, medics reported that an airstrike on a vehicle in the Tel Al-Hawa neighbourhood killed at least four people and wounded 14 others. In Khan Younis in the south of the enclave, a strike near a mosque killed local journalist Mohammad Al-Najar and injured others, medics said.
Later, health officials said another airstrike near Qarara town in the southern Gaza Strip killed one person, bringing the day’s reported death toll to at least seven.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the three latest strikes. It said the first strike had targeted a Hamas militant it accused of planning attacks against Israeli forces.

In recent weeks, Israel has intensified its strikes against Hamas even as the ceasefire remains formally in place.
Hamas has denied attempting to launch attacks or reconstitute its arsenal, and it says Israel is weakening the Gaza peace deal.
The US-brokered ceasefire reached last year includes provisions pointing toward the eventual reconstruction of the territory.
However, talks have stalled, with negotiators unable to bridge differences over demands for Hamas to disarm and for Israel to withdraw its troops.
Israeli attacks have continued.
Gaza health officials say at least 1,400 Palestinians have been killed in the territory since the ceasefire, while Israel says four of its soldiers have died.
The wider war has exacted a far higher toll: more than 74,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 2023, while Hamas-led fighters killed about 1,200 people in southern Israel in October 2023.
